Staffbase combines all the major channels internal communications teams work with into one platform, and additionally offers integrations with your most important digital workplace and HR tools, for a more integrated digital employee experience. Our platform can exist next to your intranet as an alternative channel, or function as an intranet for all employees. The most important thing to note is that Staffbase covers use cases related to company communication. However, we do not support collaboration with our tool. We believe there’s strong tools out there for that, including Microsoft SharePoint and Teams.
Every Staffbase platform comes with a native, mobile app as well as a desktop version. Users can download the mobile app directly from App Stores, Apple Business Manager, via Mobile Device Management (MDM), or via a download page. There are multiple options for users to verify their identities, and you can even configure a customized welcome page/ tutorial upon login. The web version is accessible via your own domain name, or a domain name from Staffbase.
Staffbase supports diverse requirements for this topic. Users can be invited to the platform via SSO (i.e. OpenID or SAML), self-service signup via a company email address, one-time access code (can be printed, sent in payslips, via mail etc.), by entering a combination of identification data (i.e. employee ID + last name), or via email invitation with a sign up link. Yes! Staffbase is proud to offer a platform that can be completely designed around your company’s own branding. It’s one of the things that makes our platform so different from most of the other digital tools your company uses. You define the name, icons, and launch screen of your native mobile app, and we implement your specifications prior to distribution. Administrators are able to customize the layout within the app including the colors, fonts, background image for desktop, and logo for the CMS dashboard. If you’d like to do more, you can also write your own CSS to further adjust the look and feel of your app and desktop experience.
In the Staffbase Experience Studio, you are able to define and assign users different roles and rights for content editing or access to different areas of the admin area. You can assign system-wide administrators who can add and edit content, turn plugins on/off, etc., as well as editors who are limited to editing existing content. Unlike other software providers in this area, Staffbase also offers roles and rights options for decentralized administration called “Spaces.” Using Spaces you can define administrators and editors whose rights are limited to a defined audience within a certain user group (i.e. all employees at the Atlanta location).
