Staffbase is seeking a Community Manager for our North American HQ in New York City! We are seeing an organized, collaborative Community Manager with a passion for building community at work, and creating positive and inclusive spaces for Staffbase employees across North America. 

Please note: This role is based in our Staffbase office in New York City. This role requires in-person attendance in our midtown workspace, as well as frequent travel to our Minneapolis and Canadian locations. If you are interested in, and can commit to being in our New York City office 3 times a week, can travel to Minneapolis, and our Canadian (Kelowna and Vancouver)  offices multiple times per year, please read on! Sorry, but remote only is not an option for this position. 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Create a Sense of Belonging:  Work with NA leadership to cultivate inclusivity and community across various working categories (office, hybrid, remote).
  • Event Planning: Organize and execute events, rituals, and initiatives that promote community building and align with our company values.
  • Office Administration and Management: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure efficient office operations, including supply inventory, vendor liaison, and addressing employee queries.
  • Global Collaboration: Collaborate with community management colleagues from other locations to align processes and procedures globally.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance community management processes and implement new systems.
  • Team Engagement:  Coordinate team-building activities to nurture our teams and maintain a positive work culture.
  • Facilities and Equipment Management: Correspond with property maintenance personnel and manage office space openings and closings. Assist with IT equipment needs to ensure our team has the tools required to excel in their roles.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Previous working experience in office management, facilities management, office administration or community management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Tech savvy, with strong understanding of Google products

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in New York City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Staffbase's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 base salary per year. Other rewards may include commissions and program-specific awards. In addition, Staffbase provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, equity, paid parental leave, an employee growth budget, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, wellness days, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

New York City has so many great qualities that it’s hard to know where to start. When Staffbase made the jump across the pond in 2016, we knew our first office had to be in the city so nice they named it twice! Our offices are conveniently located near the historic Pennsylvania Station. We currently have more than 44 employees in NYC — and counting!
