As our Events Manager UK, Benelux and Nordics you will be responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of Staffbase owned on-site and virtual events like roundtables, industry-focused events and webinars, as well as third party events like industry conferences. 

The top-line goal for this role is to drive new demand for Staffbase by driving new leads as well as engaging existing contacts via professional, innovative and impactful event formats.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Marketing UK, Benelux & Nordics. You’ll work interdependently with the regional marketing team, but will be responsible for the overall event promotion as well as event follow-up plan. This role will also liaise closely with the SDR and CSM teams, particularly the latter in securing client speakers where appropriate.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Own and manage the planning and execution of both owned and third-party events (speaker planning, asset deliverables, etc.)
  • Research proactively new event opportunities within the internal communications space and evaluate proposals from other teams to find out what events Staffbase should participate in
  • Build relationships with event organizers, negotiate prices and value-add opportunities 
  • Create, test and evaluate new event formats based on business needs
  • Perform research on latest trends and how to apply them to Staffbase event marketing
  • Strategic event planning in cooperation with Sales and the regional marketing lead, incl. a quarterly view of owned and third-party events
  • Close cooperation with Sales for the communication of events to prospects
  • Build and maintain a full database of new leads acquired via third-party events with a high degree of detail; work with Revenue Ops and the regional marketing team to fit into nurture programs as appropriate
  • Full reporting on ROI for third-party & owned events in close collaboration with the revenue ops team 

 

What you need to be successful

  • Proficient: 3-5 years experience in event marketing/management with a detail-oriented, “plan in advance” approach and a sales-partner mindset
  • Event extraordinaire: passionate about all things events; master planner and lover of timelines; always looking for the next innovation and story to build great events, virtual and in person
  • Impact: caring deeply about the experience at Staffbase events and how to make it as engaging and impactful as possible
  • Clear communication: comfortable liaising with all levels of the business and the ability to establish an effective communication strategy within the team 
  • Team player: a roll-up your sleeves attitude, always willing to pitch in where needed
  • Dependable: responsible and accountable for role and responsibilities; able to be trusted by manager and team to execute on time and at a high caliber
  • Lifelong learner: excited by learning opportunities; takes initiative to learn from teammates as well as external opportunities
