Staffbase is seeking an experienced and highly driven Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of Corporate Account Executives. The Corporate Account Executive team is our SMB team, targeting companies with 500-5000 employees. This role is an integral part of the Sales team and you will be responsible for helping to drive the business to its next level of growth. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who can lead their team through a strategic sales cycle and is energized by developing and coaching junior sales talent to help drive Staffbase’s success forward.  

Important: This is a hybrid role. Core in-office days in our Minneapolis-Saint Paul co-working space are Tuesdays-Thursdays, and it is expected that folks will be in the office a minimum of 1x per week during core days. As our Minneapolis-Saint Paul location continues to grow, in office attendance will increase to a minimum of twice weekly during core office days. 

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Sales Development, Product, and other interfacing teams to drive success and prioritize where the team invests resources
  • Lead weekly pipeline meetings and mentor Account Executives on strategies to manage their pipeline, accurately forecast, and attain monthly & quarterly goals
  • Strong understanding of the Staffbase product and ourvalue proposition within the market
  • Build and engage a junior sales team to support revenue targets for the business.
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership & Sales Enablement to identify strengths and areas of development for Account Executives based on current skills, processes, and knowledge
  • Monitor teams sales performance: activity, pipelines, monthly forecasts, and closed-deals to ensure quota attainment
  • Be able to teach others how to sell but also be able to sell, yourself, when required (i.e. You may need to show your AE's how to do something first, before you can expect them to do it comfortably and consistently themselves)

What you need to be successful

  • Proven experience and passion for coaching and mentoring members of the sales team
  • Multiple years of quota carrying sales experience as an Account Executive or Sales Manager in high growth SaaS/technology orgs with a demonstrated track record of exceeding targets
  • Strong track record managing various size & complexity of deals and negotiating, structuring and executing complex sales agreements
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Being a leader that is comfortable being hands on (e.g. attending prospect/customer calls)
