Staffbase is looking for a Working Student for our Finance Department in Chemnitz. As part of our Finance Center of Operations, you'll play a key role in supporting our global finance operations. What you’ll be doing
- Support on a diverse range of accounting tasks, for example monitoring customer payments and reconciling accounts
- Assist in processing various customer payments (e.g., checks, wire transfers) and updating payment records in our accounting system
- Assist customers with billing inquiries, payment discrepancies, and account reconciliation, ensuring timely and professional resolution
- Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and analyses
- Assist the team in diverse projects to streamline processes, boost efficiency and improve customer satisfaction
- Support the Finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks, including data analysis, research and special assignments
- Assist in documenting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization
What you need to be successful
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, and available for 15-20h/week
- Fluent in both German and English, as you will be part of an international team
- Interest in gaining practical experience in accounting and finance, previous work or internship experience in Finance/Accounting would be a plus
- An analytical mindset, a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- A team player with a customer-oriented approach and a proactive attitude

Chemnitz is a a modern industrial city and the hometown of Staffbase. Our headquarter was founded here in 2014. The city is a centre of technology focusing particularly on automobile and car supplier industries, information technology and engineering. Chemnitz will be European Capital of Culture in 2025.
