As we expand our reach, we are looking for a Marketing Manager to focus on the Japan market, acting as a bridge between Japan's marketing operations and our global team.
The role, reporting into the Country Manager, will focus on developing and executing localised marketing strategies that resonate with the Japanese Audience. You will work closely with the Country Manager and the global teams at Staffbase to ensure alignment with the overall brand messaging and goals. As the go-to person for all marketing initiatives in Japan, you will be responsible for driving brand awareness, lead generation, and growth in this key market.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute Japan-specific marketing strategies to build awareness, engage customers, and generate leads for Staffbase’s products and services
- Act as a liaison between Japan’s local marketing operations and the global marketing team to ensure seamless communication, alignment, and execution of campaigns
- Create, localise and manage content for Japan’s digital channels, including website, social media, email campaigns, and events, ensuring cultural relevance and accuracy
- Support market research to understand customer needs, competitor landscape, and trends specific to Japan
- Drive lead generation through targeted campaigns, local events, webinars, and content initiatives tailored to Japanese businesses
- Collaborate with sales, partners, product, and customer success teams in both Japan and globally to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business goals
- Track and report on campaign performance in the Japan market, analysing key metrics and adapting strategies to improve results
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors in Japan, including local agencies, content creators, and event organisers
- Stay up to date with the latest marketing trends and best practices in Japan, particularly in the SaaS and internal communications space
What you need to be successful
- 4+ years of marketing experience, with a strong focus on Japan or Japanese markets
- Proven ability to work in cross-cultural environments and manage marketing strategies across different regions
- Experience in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing, with a focus on the Japanese market
- Proficiency in localising content for Japanese audiences, including knowledge of language, culture, and trends
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and CRM systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track, measure, and report on campaign performance
- Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams
- Experience with B2B SaaS marketing is preferred, but not required
