Our rapidly expanding Company, operating across diverse global territories, seeks an adept Senior Procurement Manager with Generalist experience to join our Global Procurement Team. Procurement, known for their commitment to excellence, driving value for money, cost savings, and continuous improvement, requires a seasoned professional to join this highly impactful and very fast paced Team. We are looking for a candidate who possesses exceptional Generalist procurement prowess, understanding of Category requirements (Saas/Cloud/Insurance/Benefits/Professional Services) for a global Software Company, and a proven track record of leading large and complex vendor negotiations within international business context.
This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) reporting directly to our Director of Global Procurement.
What you'll be doing
Cost and Risk Management
- Lead negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and value improvements
- Assess Procurement-related risks and develop mitigation strategies
Strategic Procurement Management
- Develop and implement Procurement strategies across diverse categories as expected within a global Software Company, to support the Company's overall goals and objectives
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential vendors
- Create and implement synergies towards spend/project consolidation and rationalization
Vendor Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of services
- Evaluate vendor performance and implement improvement plans as necessary
Operational Excellence
- Lead the end-to-end Procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with Company policies, while achieving all-round operational efficiencies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-departmental Business Owners, including Product, Business Operations and Legal, to ensure alignment of Procurement activities with business needs/objectives
- Communicate Procurement strategies, progress, and performance to senior Management and other relevant stakeholders
What you need to be successful
Education
- Preferably Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternatively, CIPS professional certification, or practical multi-year experience
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Procurement, with at least 3 years in a Senior Procurement Manager role
- Preferably with a Procurement background within a Technology Company, but we will also evaluate strong candidates from other industries
- Extensive Procurement experience across multiple categories and industries. Essential categories: SaaS, Cloud, Insurance, Benefits, Auditing and Professional Services
- Extensive experience with Contract Review and Management - ability to redline vendor contracts
- Experience with first-hand use of Software systems including Jira, Ironclad, P2P systems (preferably Workday)
