Are you a senior leader with a passion for strategic thinking, people development, and driving business success? Staffbase is seeking a Senior Manager, People Experience (PX) Business Partnering to lead our North America PX team and support our senior leaders in achieving their strategic goals. This pivotal role will involve leading a high-performing PX team, building influential partnerships with regional leaders, and creating impactful, innovative solutions that align with our organizational values and OKRs.
As a Senior Manager, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the PX strategy for North America, bringing your leadership expertise, business acumen, and deep understanding of people management to deliver results. You will work closely with senior leadership to influence key decisions and further develop a thriving culture in one of Staffbase’s fastest-growing markets.
Important: This is a hybrid role. Core in-office days in our Minneapolis-Saint Paul co-working space are Tuesdays-Thursdays, and it is expected that folks will be in the office a minimum of 1/2 day/s per week during core days. As our Minneapolis-Saint Paul location continues to grow, in office attendance will increase to a minimum of twice weekly during core office days.
What you’ll be doing
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with North America’s senior leadership team to co-create and execute business strategies that align with organizational values, OKRs, and regional growth priorities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop a team of PX professionals, fostering a culture of empowerment, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Talent Management: Take the lead on talent strategy for North America, focusing on succession planning, leadership development, and internal mobility to future-proof the organization.
- Capability Building: Collaborate with Organizational Development (OD) to deliver tailored enablement programs that enhance team skills and leadership capabilities across North America.
- Culture and Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, guiding them to build a positive, high-performing culture that energizes and engages their teams.
- Organizational Effectiveness: Serve as a thought partner on organizational design, leveraging data insights to advise and drive key business decisions.
- Conflict Resolution and Coaching: Provide high-level support in managing interpersonal challenges, facilitating conflict resolution, and driving team performance through leadership coaching.
- Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use a data-centric approach to generate actionable insights, measure impact, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Mentorship and Development: Guide and mentor your team, supporting their professional growth and embedding a culture of collaboration and excellence within the PX function.
- Program and Initiative Leadership: Spearhead key PX initiatives for North America, including cross-departmental projects and the rollout of global programs tailored to regional needs.
- Global Alignment: Actively represent North America’s needs in global PX strategy discussions, contributing regional insights and aligning local execution with global priorities.
What you need to be successful
- Leadership Experience: 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years leading a team in a strategic HR or PX role.
- Regional Expertise: Strong knowledge of North American employment laws, industry trends, and best practices, with proven experience in compliance.
- Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to align PX strategies with business objectives, using data to inform and drive impactful decisions.
- Change Leadership: Experience in driving transformation in talent management, culture, engagement, and organizational design.
- Influential Communicator: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust-based relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Project Management Skills: Adept at managing complex initiatives and competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Passion for Innovation: Forward-thinking mindset with a commitment to evolving PX strategies to meet the needs of a dynamic and growing business.
- Business Acumen: Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership, providing solutions that align with and enhance broader organizational goals.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience supporting commercial SaaS teams is highly desirable.
