Reporting to the Head of Content, the Social Media Manager is responsible for supporting the global social media strategy by creating engaging content, managing community interactions, and analyzing the effectiveness of social media campaigns. As part of the larger Content Marketing team, you will collaborate with various internal stakeholders (Regional Marketing, Performance Marketing, Brand and Design, and People Experience) and play a key role in enhancing our brand presence across multiple social media platforms. We're looking for a creative, proactive, and analytical team player who is passionate about social media and ready to contribute to our company's growth as a leader in the employee communications software space. 

This is a fixed term contract until March 2026.  

What you’ll be doing 

Content Creation and Campaign Management:

  • Develop entertaining and engaging content that resonates with our audience of communicators and encourages sharing and engagement.
  • Collaborate with regional marketing managers to enhance their social media skills through training, brainstorms, and content reviews.
  • Lead social media experiments, including testing new platforms, scripting videos, producing live streams, and exploring innovative video formats.
  • Work closely with the wider marketing team to ideate and develop social-first campaigns.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to social media content (e.g. LinkedIn articles and YouTube SEO.)

Community Management:

  • Manage our community across social channels, primarily LinkedIn and YouTube. Continuously seek feedback and interaction to foster positive engagement.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Lead the production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly analytics reports, providing insights, recommendations, and tracking against OKRs.
  • Identify gaps in the current reporting structure and implement necessary changes.
  • Report on regional partners' activations and posts.
  • Trend Monitoring: Ability to track social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to advise and craft social content and campaigns.
  • Participate in team meetings to stay updated on potential paid social topics, customer marketing strategies, and employer branding initiatives.

Tools and Processes:

  • Use social media management tools for scheduling, reporting, and community management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and brand guidelines

What you need to be successful

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably at a major brand or creator account.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful social media campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of LinkedIn and personal branding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in video production and familiarity with video editing software like Adobe Premiere or creator-level tools like Canva etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high-level content strategy and hands-on production tasks. 

Exceptional Candidates will have:

  • German language skills.
  • Experience working internationally.
  • Experience working on both in-house teams and in a studio/agency environment.
  • Strong interest in AI and how to leverage it for content creation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
