Staffbase is looking for a Working Student for our Order to Cash (OTC) team in Chemnitz. As part of our Finance Center of Operations, you'll play a key role in supporting our global operations. What you’ll be doing
- Help manage accounts receivable tasks such as monitoring customer payments, chasing overdue invoices, and reconciling accounts
- Assist in processing various customer payments (e.g., checks, wire transfers) and updating payment records in our accounting system
- Assist customers with billing inquiries, payment discrepancies, and account reconciliation, ensuring timely and professional resolution
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and analyses related to order-to-cash processes, including accounts receivable aging and cash collections
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, boost efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction, and assist in implementing these improvements
- Support the OTC team with ad hoc projects and tasks, including data analysis, research, and special assignments
- Assist in documenting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization
What you need to be successful
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, and available for 15-20h/week
- Fluent in both German and English, as you will be part of an international team
- Interest in gaining practical experience in accounting and finance, especially within the order-to-cash cycle - previous work or internship experience in Finance/Accounting would be a plus
- An analytical mindset, a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- A team player with a customer-oriented approach and a proactive attitude
