As a Payroll Specialist at Staffbase, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in payroll administration, and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. You will collaborate with the HR team, finance, and other departments to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage payroll tasks accurately while ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Review time records and address any discrepancies promptly
  • Process bonuses, adjustments, and special payments accurately
  • Serve as the main contact for our European payroll provider
  • Stay updated on tax regulations to ensure compliance
  • Prepare detailed reports on payroll expenses for management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain data accuracy
  • Assist employees with payroll inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
  • Resolve payroll-related issues collaboratively with HR and other teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes
  • Participate in enhancing payroll systems for better efficiency

What you need to be successful

  • Relevant work experience in the field of payroll - this can also be from an HR generalist role  
  • Apprenticeship or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance
  • Proficient in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Fluent in English and German (B2)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
