Azure OpenAI Service empowers organizations of all sizes with powerful, state-of-the-art AI.

Microsoft Azure
Staffbase Companion runs on the Azure OpenAI service, which helps us provide organizations with compliant access to generative AI, natively within Staffbase, without additional logins or subscriptions.
Your prompts and outputs are NOT available to other customers, to OpenAI, or any other 3rd party products or services.

Microsoft hosts the OpenAI models in the Azure environment and the service does not interact with any services operated by OpenAI (e.g. ChatGPT).
Our Microsoft Azure hosting ensures that we can provide reliable and scalable access to generative AI.

Staffbase Companion currently runs on ChatGPT 3.5 Turbo which is the fastest and most efficient large language model for text generation.

AI in comms changes everything

AI-powered technology like ChatGPT is fundamentally transforming how our world works.

AI-powered technology like ChatGPT is fundamentally transforming how our world works
Distinguishing real from deepfake content on social media is increasingly challenging. Organizations need trusted communication channels to establish themselves as reliable sources of information for their employees.
AI algorithms excel in generating various content, from blog posts to social media updates and email templates. They're particularly helpful for crafting headlines and overcoming writer's block.
AI can curate tailored content and recommend articles, videos, or resources to employees. Innovative interfaces, like chat-based systems, offer engaging and novel ways to access information.

Our stance on AI

One

AI use cases need to be curated

AI features have to drive real value for comms, instead of being used as a marketing buzzword.
Two

Humans need to remain in full control

AI should take on a supporting role, while employees and communicators always stay in control.
Three

AI needs to meet comms expertise

We combine leading AI-technology hosted by Microsoft with our comms expertise and best practices.
Four

End & admin users need to benefit

Our holistic approach helps organizations save time, both in the office and on the frontline.

FAQs about Staffbase Companion

Staffbase Companion uses OpenAI’s ‘ChatGPT 3.5 Turbo’ language model hosted securely on Microsoft Azure. The 3.5 Turbo model is OpenAI’s fastest and most efficient AI model for text generation. It also features significant accuracy improvements over its predecessors.
Data used by Staffbase Companion to generate results includes just the instructions you give it and language model training data from OpenAI that was originally used to create the model. We plan to enable customers to integrate their company specific data in the near future.
No, the input a Staffbase customer puts into the Staffbase Companion is not mixed between customer environments and it cannot be prompted by other parties. Staffbase Companion is based on Azure OpenAI Service and does not remember input provided by our customers. Staffbase Companion only uses the customer prompt to generate the output.

The prompts (input) and completions (output) data may be temporarily stored by the Azure OpenAI Service for up to 30 days. This data is encrypted and is only accessible to authorized Microsoft employees for (1) debugging purposes in the event of a failure, and (2) investigating patterns of abuse and misuse to determine if the service is being used in a manner that violates the applicable terms.
No. Microsoft hosts the OpenAI models within their Azure infrastructure, and all customer data sent to Azure OpenAI remains within the Azure OpenAI service.
Yes. The prompts and completions data may be temporarily stored by the Azure OpenAI Service in the same region as the resource for up to 30 days. This data is encrypted and is only accessible to authorized Microsoft employees for (1) debugging purposes in the event of a failure, and (2) investigating patterns of abuse and misuse to determine if the service is being used in a manner that violates the applicable product terms.
No. Microsoft does not use customer data to train, retrain or improve the models in the Azure OpenAI Service.
Rather than a single conversational interface, Staffbase Companion meets users where they need assistance. By integrating AI directly into product features we avoid the need to switch between solutions and enhance efficient workflows.
The next step on our AI journey is to enhance workflow efficiency in news content creation by integrating our Staffbase Companion more seamlessly within the news post editor. Going forward we will also focus on more editorial guidance use cases that will enable communicators to take full advantage of all forms of generative AI directly in Staffbase Studio.
We advise our customers to contact their legal advisor to understand whether they are allowed to use AI tools to generate content in relation to the Staffbase services. If not yet applicable, Staffbase recommends its customers to have internal guidelines about the restricted and allowed use of AI models.
