Our hiring process

No surprises. Here's how we hire.

Our hiring process is built to be clear, fair, and honest — from the first conversation to the final decision. Here's exactly what to expect.

The process. From first call to offer.

Our hiring process follows four core steps. The exact setup may vary by role, but the structure stays the same. Your recruiter will walk you through the details upfront.

First call

Your first conversation is with one of our recruiters. This is a two-way chat about you, the role, and what you're looking for. We'll also talk about values and mindset. If there's a fit, we'll move forward together.

In their own words

Genuinely one of the better interview experiences I've had. My recruiter was communicative the whole way through, and by the end of the process I felt like Staffbase truly knew who I was. They knew how I approach my work, what I value. That made the offer land differently; it didn't feel like I was being hired for a checklist of skills, it felt like they wanted me.

I really appreciated that the exercises I had to do during my interview process were very closely related to the actual tasks I do now in my current role. It gave me an accurate picture of what my job would be. The process is definitely thorough, but the whole team, from the recruiter to the hiring managers, are transparent in what they're looking for, and are clearly rooting for you along the way.

Customer Success Manager

During my interviewing process, I felt that some kind of filter had already been made. I felt that every interview I had was just another reminder of why we were such a great fit and to trust my knowledge and be myself. Every step forward on my interview process I felt more and more confident that the job was basically tailored for me, that they knew I was who they were looking for.

How we use AI in our hiring process

We use AI to support parts of our hiring process, never to replace human judgment or make decisions about candidates. Every hiring decision is made by people. That frees up our team to focus on what matters: getting to know you.

When you apply

We use automated tools to help match your skills and experience against our open roles. This helps our recruiters work more efficiently, but it doesn't replace them. Every automated match is reviewed by a person, and every hiring decision is made by people, never by AI.

During interviews

We use AI-powered note-taking tools to transcribe and summarize interviews. This means your interviewer can stay fully present in the conversation instead of splitting attention with manual notes. You'll always be informed before these tools are used. You're free to opt out at any point, and it won't affect your candidacy.
