Employee Experience Set to Redefine HR

New York,NY - July 26, 2017

Staffbase today published their first of three planned comparative studies about employee experience vs. employee engagement. In May of 2017, Staffbase conducted a survey of LinkedIn members which found 2,975 people in companies worldwide with either “employee engagement” or “employee experience” in their job titles. The results show more than two and a half times as many professionals with “engagement” in their title, but reveals where and how quickly the relatively new experience movement is taking root.

The research also finds that several of the companies which have created employee experience positions are listed among the top 50 “Best Places to Work” in Glassdoor’s 2016 Employees’ Choice Awards. Furthermore, “experience” employees at the director level already hold a 14% to 13% advantage over those in “engagement.”

In publishing this analysis, Staffbase aims to quantify a theory that the employee experience concept is set to transform how HR departments relate to their workforces.

”What this study shows is that employee experience is the next big thing. It’s no longer something we should be talking about, but something companies should actively be doing.” —Frank Wolf, Co-founder Staffbase.

The full study is now available on the Staffbase blog, and future analyses are planned for release in December 2017 and June 2018.
